The interesting thing is, that image is very reminiscent of an old Conan paperback cover I had.
I'm a massive Conan fan, and thought that while it was entertaining, the Schwarzenegger movie wasn't very representative of Howard's original character.
I didn't even know that this was being made to be honest.
Interest piqued.

Edit:

This is the original Frazetta cover I was thinking of:

Mind you, having just watched the trailer, that actor, while the voice is okay, well, he's a little too pretty compared to my mental image of Conan.

Forget Arnold...

The reason why this will not live-up to the classic version is the same reason the the Star Wars prequels do not live-up...

Not enough James Earl Jones!

So who are they going to get to come in and fuck up the music? The original Conan score is legendary.

Some shit should just not be remade.

That's Hollywood's vision of it all. There are no ugly people in Hollywood.

If they stick to Howard's style from the books then it might be good.

Trailer looks god damn awful. Jesus Christ.

Oh and don't even bother trying to compete with Basil Poledouris' score from the original. Along with Blade Runner and Star Wars, it is one of my favourite film scores ever made. The lack of dialog and superb cinematography from the original really gives it room to shine.

Fuck off Hollywood.

lol, original scores.
Hollywood will rape *anything* to make a few bucks, and you will *love* the new rihanna autotune score, goddammit.

Wonder when Schindler's List 3D will be out.
