Texture Problem in GTKRadiant 1.5

Post by Derr1 »

Hi guys. I'm new to q3 world forum. Anyway, I have a problem with GTKRadiant 1.5 as the title suggests. I'm trying to map for Elite Force, but for some reason I have very limited choices of textures (a few in liquids and some for common, discluding trigger, ladder, and many others like them). How can I fix this problem???

Hi and welcome!

I suspect that you need to download and install the Elite Force gamepack. GtkRadiant 1.5.0 is just the multi-platform editor, but to map for a particular game you also need to install the developer files that are specific to that game. These is called gamepacks, there is one for EF, another for Quake3, Wolfenstein, Jedi Academy, etc.

For more information and other download options see here:

A direct link to the STVEF gamepack is here:

Good news. My brother had to reformat his laptop :(, but in the process, after installing gtkradiant again, I now have what appears to be all the common textures, including areaportal, ladder, trigger, nodrop, and botclip, and many others! :) :) :) :) HAPPY!!!!!
