Boardwalk Empire

Post by HM-PuFFNSTuFF »

New HBO series, started last night with an episode directed by Martin Scorcese. The shows stars Steve Buscemi and takes place in prohibition era Atlantic City. Many historical characters from the time are featured.

Pretty good first episode. I like the guy they have playing Al Capone. Anyone else catch this?

Yeah I watched it. It was badass. I'll keep watching for sure. I'm glad Buscemi finally got a featured roll on a grade A network. He deserves it for all the great work he's done in the past. Ugly bastard...

Do you know if Scorsese will be directing any more episodes? I thought the premier was damn good...

I've always thought Buscemi was a mediocre actor at best and my maffia interest is nearly zero, so i shall give this a miss - unless you lot claim it's still shit hot next month.

On a sidenote, i started watching SoA and am finding it pretty decent, as long as i tell myself it's all happening in an alternate universe where firearms don't hurt and forensic evidence is always overlooked.

Boardwalk Empire looks promising, and expensive. i'll be impressed if they utilise that cast of hundreds in future episodes

i read somewhere that scorsese was relatively restrained - directorially - in that episode, in order to provide a template for directors of future episodes

Yarr :)
Show did a plendid job of sucking me in, been watching a LOT of it. I'm almost completely up to date now and it just keeps getting better, really... season 1 was decent, two was good and 3 so far is pretty great. imo.

Hate how they keep killing off my favourite characters though, when a certain law enforcement official got it i actually screamed 'oh noes!!' at the screen :(

haha yeah he was awesome, one of the best characters tbh.

I liked the transformation from the guy he was in season 1, he slowly started seeing the benefits of having samcro around rather than just the cost.

I've seen the first few episodes and so far Boardwalk Empire seems pretty cool. It's got a lot of potential to move in several directions. I just hope the whole "let me get out from under your shadow" angle doesn't take up too much of the main story.

Another great episode last night. Looks like Tommy is headin to meet up with Al. That'll be a good duo.

Everytime I watch this, I can't help but wonder how much they're spending on the production. It's extremely impressive.

Saw the first two episodes of Boardwalk Empire last night and what the fuck bros..? It's boring as hell, dialogues are shoddy, all the characters are two dimensional and uninteresting... why are you lot enjoying this?

The only guy that's cool is the zealot agent, he's proper creepy.

ok nucky and mrs schroeder in a clinch. didn't see that coming, especially after his series of dick moves regarding her. either he's decided his high maintenance fuck princess is no fun any more, or he's playing her
