One of the better games I've played.

Downloaded the demo from Fileplanet about an hour ago and loving it, just might pick this up later this week...(still paying off this new pc :icon33: ) Graphics look amazing, sounds are perfect...it also has a Grand Theft Auto feel to me, seems like you can just walk, or ride in your little boat anywhere.

Only thing that is keeping me from buying it right away is it seems real buggy. Yeah, I know I'm playing the demo...but it seems if I make to big a change the visuals stuff screws up. I also found a turret early in the demo and was blasting away at nothing. I try and do a 360 and my computer crashed. :lol:

Anyway, any of you that have this game...this is all worked out in the patches yes?

Works flawless in sp... mp is still crap imo, its a bit buggy here and there, but nothing big.
MP just plain sucks with the current gametypes and the boring maps...

Buy it for the sp.. FC is the second best sp adventure i have ever played, HL2 being the #1.

bahah, I actually just picked that game up a few weeks ago. Awsome game as well...though the looks in farcry piss all over MOH:AA.

Hi I just purchasaed Quake yesterday. I have played through the first two levels and I had a blast! The feeling of blasting away enemies with a shotgun in sleek three-dimensional environments, wow!

So, some other games that are close to Farcry...as far as the "open" areas go would be...

A change from the closed up hallways ala Doom 3 would be nice.

FarCry is the first time I really felt uncaged in a game. In the first level, where you start out on the boat off the beaches, by the time the level is over you're miles up in the hills, yet you can still look down to where you started. It's immense.

P.S. You're saying the graphics are great, but damn you have them turned down. If you can, turn them up just to look around. Then turn them back once you go to play. I had a screenshot of a high quality FarCry screenshot as a desktop picture a while ago, it's so great looking.

Farcry was incredible, I even bought an extra 512mb of ram just to enjoy it. Also it's one of the few games I passed.

Here is my list of games I acctually passed. (with no cheats)

Shinobi Shadow Warrior 3 (when I first got my genesis)
Quake2
Half-Life
Farcry
Half-Life2

I have a short attention span when it comes to games, if they suck then I don't play them.
