Anyone sanity-check a pk3 for me?

Post by Johnny Law »

I'm moving this out of the jlctf4 alpha thread to maybe hit a bigger audience:

Two of my previous Q3CTF maps were only released in map-bundle pk3s. While futzing about with jlctf4 I also had the urge to repackage those old maps as standalone pk3s, just for neatness' sake I guess. I'd like to get an external sanity check... feedback about whether you see any error messages in the console, or any other runtime errors.

TITANS was previously released as ump1ctf4, part of Unofficial Map Pack 1. (Actually it was also previously-previously released as separate CTF and TA maps, with slightly different items etc.) It's a larger map primarily meant for TA -- I think it's more or less the same area as mpterra1 -- but it will work in vanilla Q3CTF if you like to pack a big map full of bots. New standalone pk3: ==> jlctf2 <==

Industrial Revolution was previously released as q3wcp15, part of Threewave. It's a "competitive"-sized map primarily meant for vanilla Q3CTF and Threewave modes, but it works in TA too. New standalone pk3: ==> jlctf3 <==

If you feel motivated to tell me how jlctf2 or jlctf3 worked (or didn't work) for you, please let me know if you currently have the old bundle pk3 form of that map also installed. Thanks!

(Since these haven't been externally tested, I probably should have renamed various files to prevent future conflicts in case I have to rev them and re-release, but what the heck, I'll live dangerously. They should be fine. ... famous last words ... )

Hmm... might be better to split this into two threads, one per map.

It doesn't look like this one is in any danger of being overrun with traffic. :)
