i wouldnt mind something in the same sort of layout as rome: total war but if you got one in mind let us know

They were going German one, but level 1 was demed too easy then the last level was impossible so they canceled it :(

soldiers: heroes of wwii is a fucking amazing game, once you get over the intitial learning curve and work out an effective control system for your guys it's like updated cannon fodder.

you missed age of mythology and C&C generals..

i'd also count commandos as wwii strategy games

coo man coo, ill check some of those out

tried act of war already and even though it looks pretty it wasnt enough to grip me

same as C&C generals, good game but didnt hold a candle to RA2 :(

ima give stronghold a looky 1st but that panzers looks pretty cool :)

For turned based shit, Panzer General and Steel Panthers rock. Both are easy to get into and play but they are also deceptively deep.

silent stom and silent storm - sentinals are the best ww2 strategy games i've played in recent years.
both are quite excellent fun, especially if you like TB-strategy (they have a very "XCom in ww2" feel to them)
