Re: new baby
thanks. between a martin and a taylor, i really prefer the darker tone of the martins. took a tour of the taylor factory in san diego and was able to play almost everything in my price range. very nice guitars though.
Re: new baby
Damn. That thing set you back pretty well

Re: new baby
Nice.
My dad has a Martin(not sure of the model) and I love it. Congrats.

Re: new baby
still between or is this a done deal? if so congrats. looks nice, good price for rosewood too. they didn't have the ES pickups on the taylor when you were in SD did they? If you haven't bought yet and are gonna plug it in much, I'd give taylor one more look as their pickup is better than the fishman imo (but then what would you expect from a guy with taylor)+JuggerNaut+ wrote:thanks. between a martin and a taylor, i really prefer the darker tone of the martins. took a tour of the taylor factory in san diego and was able to play almost everything in my price range. very nice guitars though.

i believe they were ES's, but don't recall to be honest. i don't plug in much anyway, so i went with strictly raw tone for around the 2k mark and to my ears the Martin was nicer.
but yes, done deal.
