Street Fighter HD Remix

Post by Tormentius »

Is anyone else excited about Street Fighter HD Remix? There's only 3 more days until its released for Xbox Live and PSN.

Personally, if there's one game I ever wanted to see overhauled this is it. I lost a huge chunk of my teenage time to SF2 in the arcade and still enjoy the original to this day. The Quarter Match multiplayer option looks like it will be a nostalgic blast.

Here's some more info for anyone who may have not heard about it:

I don't know. Anything but the SNES pad and this game sucks.

most people say if youre going ot play with pad, the best pad to play sf2 with is the saturn pad.

then again not many people have those.

saturn pad was horrible and im surprised you think otherwise, chup.

snespad was indeed the best for it, tho the ps1 pad was great too (snes pad became a little too small after a while).

anyways, i am quite excited to get this. itll suck using the horrendus 360 dpad so i'd have to see if i can use the analogue stick without too much unwanted movement - which was the biggest problem in DOA4 :(

also, fuck u lawl, we both know i own you in sf

most of the other fighting game players also say saturn pad is the best as well. pad players were pretty excited when saturn pads for ps2 became available at some import shops. pad people go pretty far in trying to use a saturn pad whenever they play.

i don't think the SNES pad is very good for fighting games. drumming and all that other stuff is just not that easily executed.

of course it all depends on whatever you are most comfortable with it, etc. so its all just a matter of opinion anyway.

i did a quick search about pads and there are other threads out there, but here's one. keep in mind how rare the saturn was relatively speaking: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=165891

If this doesn't give you the chills, nothing does.

Yeah classic video. even more impressive if you've actually tried to emulate that in SFIII. Seriously difficult to even parry one hit.

I could never pull off any shit using triggers for fierce and roundhouse.
this is true. whoever thought that was a good move needs to be shot.
however, writing off a pad because of the default layout is off - you can change it yknow ;)
my preferred (sneslayout) is axyblr. mostly because i hardly ever use medium kick, and the rest is mapped to one hand. scared?
