China can't even get to Taiwan, let alone Japan. They have no amphibious assualt vehicles.

Aside from that, the Chinese military is HUGELY behind in technology compared to Japan who is running almost ALL US military technology. They may have boat loads of Chinamen, but it would soon be boat loads of Chinamen at the bottom of the sea. Japan's subs and destroyers are leagues more capable and dangerous than the Chinese competitors, albiet possible in smaller numbers.

That said... geographics are a huge factor. Japan is small and easy to defend compare to the wide shorelines of China.

Population isn't so much a factor anymore as it used to be. The Iraq war was a prime example of this.

I rarely known fact about the Iraq war of 2003 is that the Iraqi's where using the top off the line Russian tanks (T76s). Laser guided, heavily armored, yadda yadda yadda... The US was using their newest tank, which is I'm sure by now also in the Japanese military (or soon to be), the M1A Abrahms.

The Iraqi's lost 1000 tanks, the US 6. Get that? 1000-6. That's more than just 'owned'.

Add to it all, stealth bombers which would surely be used to bomb strategic Chinese locations at night and the Chinese don't really have a pot to piss in anymore. Their only true strength lies in their Airforce, which is also about to be totally obsolete like their tanks due to the knew stealth fighter jets, the Raptors.

All in all... should make for some good TV.

YOUR ARGUMENT IS FLAWLESS. YOU WIN THE PRIZE. THE PRIZE IS.... I SUPPOSE WE DON'T HAVE A PRIZE. TAKE THIS WOODEN SPOON.

Germany mainly lost ther war becuase Hitler kept fucking things up. The army had great leaders, it's just that Hitler kept getting in their way. Research has shown that germany could have very likely won WW2 if Hitler hadn't been a stuborn idiot.

Could, woulda, shoulda... don't mean shit. We could play that game forever. :P

It really came down to the fact the Germans were spread to thin and ill prepared for the coldness of the Russian winter.

The real wonder is if it would bring in outside allies on both sides.

Russia to help China, and the US to help Japan.

That would be a shitty situation.

China - Nukes
Japan - No Nukes

China Wins. Anyway, this is a cultural tiff. Both sides are hardly blameless in the historical view. As for Taiwan - China permits Taiwan to exist because it would piss us off if they reintegrated by force, and the business kickbacks are great.

Japan doesn't have Nukes?

I'd be inclined to dispute that. If not from a solid 'Internet Evidence' POV, then from a mere tech POV.

They're expressly prohibited by their constitution and something tells me we'd know if they had them

Spot the contradictions.

Hint: you may require several blank sheets of A4.

Therein lies my point regarding the validity of 'constitutions'.

having said that, Japan has adhered with greater faith than the US, IMO.

The US will be fighting China before Japan, but at the rate the $$$ is being bought up by the Chinese, the Chinese will be able to bring the US economy to it's knees, which will be the likely trigger :icon31:
