root:~# rm -R .

and

root:~# rm -R /

It was an innocent typo. I meant to delete the directory, but my finger reached for the slash instead.

The system hung for five seconds before I looked backed and realized the error of my ways. I immediately pressed Ctrl-C. But... the damage was done.

I can't even use ls anymore.

alias rm "rm -i"
