Why Republicans are anti-American: Read up!

Christian conservatives, led by some top Republicans, are stepping up their assault on the U.S. judiciary in response to the Terri Schiavo case, saying judges are attacking religion and must be reined in.
At a conference on Thursday and Friday organized by the Judeo-Christian Council for Constitutional Restoration, an umbrella group bringing together many religious conservative organizations, prominent Republicans joined with activists to assault what they term "judicial activism."

Interestingly enough, my understanding of the United States, which is flawless, dictates that we came here to escape religious persecution, and the first amendment of the Constitution clearly says that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." This means that law must be according to the rulebook, and not what the Holy Ghost whispers in your ear... Marriage is in basic form a religious establishment of a bonding between two people. Depending on what religion you belong to, it could be between a man and a woman, a man and three women, a man and a man, or anyone... A man and a doll. Surely if you go against the Constitution and Bill of Rights, you're anti-American. Just read what douchebag of the month Bill "Yes, that's an 80s hairstyle" Frist had to say:

"The second issue that I’ll briefly mention is what our government has got to do, and that is defend the institutions our society rests on, and especially, especially, the marriage between a man and a woman. Monday’s terrible decision in California reminded us of the stakes. We’ve got activist trial-court judges (Using the term activist to perturb right wingers who hate anything with the word activist attached.) and their allies on the left (This is the first time I've ever heard of a Republican gaining power by being divisive.) who will not stop until they have imposed their vision (As opposed to Christianity's vision) of marriage on every state in the union. And let me just say that we have got to, we will, take action to preserve, and protect, and defend the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman.

...Let me just comment on a couple of other things, and then we’re in the middle of a vote so I have to run, but ummm third, and certainly not last, we’ve got to move forward on protecting the sanctity
(Pssst: Sanctity comes from the latin word sanctitatem, which means religious holiness, particularly in the Christian sense. What a douche.) of every human life. I will do it on the floor, with the strong support of my Senators, in a bill that will save Terri Schiavo life today, and I think hopefully that speaks directly to the fact that this Congress under this leadership focuses on the dignity of life, the sanctity of life, in a very direct way.

He rambles on to mention the ridiculous Unborn Child Pain Awareness Act, which they apparently can prove since we've hired the best empath around for the job:

Image
"I sense great pain. Horrible, unborn child pain, Captain."

Image
"In that case, Senator Frist, set course for bigotry. Make it so!"

He continues lying with a charmer that surely would impress the idiots he's talking to, the douchebags of the Family Research Council:

I take a little picture of the Capitol of the United States of America, where I’m blessed to work every day, where I’m sitting right now. And it’s amazing, even out in the bush, when I pull that picture out, in whatever dialect they happen to speak, they say “America,” and then right after that, they say, “freedom.” This nation’s symbols are just that, it’s freedom and democracy in the world, and we speak to the world by liberty,Image by democracy,Image by freedom,Image and that’s reflected in the work that you do,Image and what we do on the floor of the Senate.

The way things are going, if the United States is still around in 2099, the pledge will go like this:

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republicans for which it stands, one nation, definitely under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all that are given liberty and justice.

And now for the added value section of this post!http://www.bikerchicks4u.com/fbi.shtml They're dead serious. Watch out!

I was amused with the pictures. You're actually not that bad when you just make threads like this. Stick with it.

Jesus, I do one little search for gay biker party when I'm looking for an image fit for, "and what we do on the floor of the Senate." and somehow castration fantasy comics come up. I'm a little scared of some of the subcultures of the gay community... This, and the whole 'gift of HIV' cult is creepy.

I don't have time for Internets.

And now for the added value section of this post! Image Why are most impersonators just fooling themselves into thinking that they look like who they make themselves up to be? Certainly they're not fooling anyone else. "My hands are huge and my lower legs aren't proportionally correct, baby."

Edit: If I go to QuakeCon X, I'll seriously consider hiring a celebrity impersonator entourage, and address them in character. "Come on Mr. T, we've got to make our way over to the Ms. Quake 3 1v1 tournament and chuckle at their world record 13% lightning gun accuracies. President Lincoln, I don't think Mary would appreciate you eyeballing Grace Jones like that, you cad."

It's funny how Christians believe it's their place to judge and persecute those who are different, when God clearly stated through the mouths of prophets that we must love our enemies as our brothers.

Instead, we have gay people who just want to be able to visit their hubby in the hospital legally, and angry Christian activists.

"You scream and talk them mean words. Stop being so yelly, you bible buttface!"

Don't they realize that the worst thing they can do to gays is let them get married? If they're so worried about homosexuals getting the spotlight and making big issues about things, then give them complete liberty so they have nothing to protest about! There aren't all that many gays who really want to get married in comparison to straight people who want to marry, so the more this is kept an issue in judicial deadlock, the more TV time it will get, and the more influence will happen. Conservatives want total control over influence of moral philosophy, so they should just get this issue out of the way already.

I prefer a PETE SEARCH over a rep thread.
