Sony could of quite possibly ffixed my biggest PS3 issue...

Post by o'dium »

First of all, we dunno if this is a leak, or a cock up. Its possible some marketting kid got it wrong...

Either way...

All signs point to the new rumble suxases pad having proper analog stick placement. i.e. places like the Cube and 360 (Dpad and Left stick switched).

It sounds utter stupid I know but this is my biggest reason for not wanting a PS3. That, and I don't want to support sony...

Heres a shot:

In other news, that PS3 price drop is all a big bag of bullshit. See, the price drop is for the 60gig model... Which they are NOT making anymore. So once thats gone, its gone. In other words, the PS3 is still $599.99 in the states, but now you get an extra 20gig because its the 80gig model. Euro will NOT be getting a cut, either...

Ahh, you gotta love Sony... I have a feeling that the one good thing from this this thread (The pad) Will turn out to be B.S. as well. They just dont get it these days...

while it might be an improvment, that really is the dumbest reason for not wanting a ps3. solely because the ps1 and 2 pads were exactly like that, layoutwise.

Bah, just noticed, no home button... Its gotts be a cock up then. Balls... Oh well, back to the "no owning PS3" drawing board...

But the price cut BS is still a nice bit of info.

Yeah, but the playstation pad is the worst pad for first person games ever made. Its perfect for 2d Games, I love it for those. Best pad going.

But for first person games, you can NOT hit shit. That and the fact sony needs to brush up on a little thing called Dead zone...

fps on a console is for homos... regardless of the game pad.

although i do aggree, i'd like the left analogue swapped for the d-pad. would prevent another generation of gamers from sore wrists from constantly forming their left hand into a claw.
it made sense when most games didn't need the stick and/or average players were still dumbfounded by anything other than a d-pad; but those days are over.
more-importantly, i wish sony would sell 2 sizes; adult and child.
the middle ground size of the DS2 cramps my wrists.

My biggest reason for not wanting a PS3 is that nothing at all about it impresses me.

It's best how it is for Gran Turismo. One'd have to hold the pad asymetrically to play with both analogue sticks if it was like that.

thats why they should sell multiple controllers.
i have no idea why console makers seem to think that "there can be only one", when it comes to controller designs.
they should really sell seperate controllers with different configurations / sizes.
aftermarket brands do this, and exist... but they're generally trash compared to the genuine sony units.

My biggest reason for not buying a PS3, aside from the fact it's too expensive, is that it's made by SONY. Now, unless they're able to correct that...
