How do i cancel an order on Ebay that I've just paid for?

Post by o'dium »

I've just been a bit of a dipshit and bought something that wont fit my PC. How do I cancel the order straight away?

Yes I know I'm a dumb ass.

TIA

well, you'll need to tell the people you bought it from. they are within their rights to tell you to fuck off if they stated no returns....lol...

Usually sellers don't ship until payment is confirmed. Email them, tell them it was a mistake, and then just don't pay.

Paid with paypal instanly, it took me straight there. Always pay straight away.

Well, I made a dispute with paypal, emailed the guys AND contacted them through ebay. Chances are they will see one of those before they send the card out tomorrow, hopefully...?

Why did you file a dispute? I think it's past the point of (no) return now, good luck with it.

maybe you can resell it.

Just resell it. Now you're probably going to get negative or neutral feedback for something preventable.

You shouldn't dispute something when it was clearly your own fault. For once, plained is right, you should have emailed them and asked them to do a return with you paying for the auction fee. And if they shipped it to you regardless, it's still your fault, so you'd have no other option than to resell.

You know, for once I agree. Becuase I changed my mind again, and after sending the email, decided I wanted to keep it. So I've mailed them again.

They are a company, so i can always buy another if they do cancel.

Turns out that the 7800GTX I bought works fine with my new mobo, but my CPU didn't. I was still on an older socket CPU. So, I wanted to cancel the CPU. However, I just found/bought a 4000 XP DC CPU for £15, so... Hopefully my upgrades done... Maybe...

Well, I cancelled my dispute. That was a dumb move anyway. As for negative feedback, like I said, I've bought maybe 3 or 4 times with this account, I don't really use Ebay that much. I would just make another.

Usually that's the best way to do it, since your mistake cost them their lising cost and now they need to re-list.

GPU is coming anyway.

As forthe listing cost, it wasn't a person it was a company with multiple items to sell.
