I actually would like to know, what do you think about GameDrome, do you even know it?
Well, some of you might know GameDrome (GD). The easiest way to describe GD is to say it’s a sort of competition website where you can challenge each other and manage your clanwars. You will think like: “Don’t we have enough of these competition sites?” Our answer to this question is quite simple. Yes, there are enough, but none of them is what we want them to be.
Some years ago 2 men started with a revolutionary plan, one is a coder, which wasn’t just a coder, in example he was asked to join the Codemasters development team, the other is a guy which is quite good in public relations. They wanted to make ClanBase bigger by making an instant messaging system, but the owner of ClanBase didn’t agree with this. They decided to make a new sort of ClanBase, but bigger and better.
This is how GD started, 2 of the highest ClanBase admins also left ClanBase and helped the 2 men out. In April 2004 the site was launched, but far from finished. They kept on upgrading and fixing things. Now, March 2005 the site is still not ready yet, although GD has some features which has never been seen before, the Theme Builder, worlds first ladder based on times (special made for the defrag community), but there are also things visitors can’t see but are there, in example a complete new ELO system, where clans on other sites gain or lose points based on their actual ranking, GD is recalculating every match, so when a match score is accepted before the other one you won’t gain or lose more points then when you first accepted the other match score. It also has an availability scheme, so when players are only available on Wednesday between 20:00 and 22:00 you can set that, in the other hours you can’t be challenged.
These are just some great features of GameDrome, but there is more, where other competition sites are developed for about 50.000 clans, GD can handle about 5 million. GD never will be a slow site, like others. On other competition sites it takes a few weeks before your conflict is handled, that wont happen on GD, because of our excellent admin system we can work more efficient and easily can solve your conflicts, that’s why we want you to choose GameDrome, after all it’s the player where it’s all about, not the crew.
