Not yet, because I don't have a clue what that is and how to do it.
All jokes aside: sounds interesting, but I didn't find info on how to create one at the Q2E website. If you point me to a document/tutorial that explains how to make one, you might get one. :icon31:
It's prety easy install Q2E (grab the newest version from a link in their forums, the one on the website is outdated), start the game in developer mode with cheats enabled, load your map drop to console and /editlights then bind a key to /addlight.
Just noclip around your map and hit the key wherever you want a realtime light added. They work just like D3/Q4 lights.
When you're done use /savelights to write to the textfile and then /editlights again to drop back to normal.
I got Q2 out of the Q4 Special edition DVD I bought...I dunno if it's available to buy anymore...but...eh I got more excited to get Q2 over Q4..heh. Nice to see someone pop up a Q2 custom map=) Downloading...
@Amphetamine:
Got myself Q2E beta 0.68 from the forums (which almost drove me mad btw, it's a pain in the ass to find things between all those tons of kiddie posts and vast signatures) and played around with the lighting stuff a bit. I'll most likely create a light file for the final version but it seems to much work atm to make it look really good.
There may be good documentation/hints on how to do this fast & easy hidden somewhere in those forums, but I need a few hours sleep before I dare to go there again. Q2E is pretty cool though, I really like it. The water's awsome. I've had beta 0.4 lurking on my HDD for months but never really tried it, shame on me.
@v1l3:
I've also got Q2 from that Q4 special edition. Took me some effort to get it but I really wanted Q2 and the Addons. :icon14:
Beta2 is ready. The download link above has been updated.
changes beta1 => beta2:
* made elevator suck less (made it more obvious that it's an elevator)
* lots of clipping
* fixed the fugly VIS error near lasers by adapting portals
* changed the damage the laserbeams deal from 1 to 25 :icon4:
* various small texture fixes
