Those are pretty sweet. I wrote a couple different fractal generators a loooooooooong time ago. Simple mandelbrot and plasma fractals. Nothing that pretty though.

Apophysis should be used for nerdy CPU benchmarking.

Just try rendering a 1600x1200 fractal video in that in a day.
