Speaking in Germany, the Pope quoted a 14th Century Christian emperor who said the Prophet Muhammad had brought the world only "evil and inhuman" things.
he's got the cold, dead eyes of a killer. he bears more than a passing resemblance to that guy from star wars - and now the pontiff is in shit with islam for using a quote that referred to them as evil and inhuman.
surely the silly bugger knows that even referring to someone calling the religion of peace and harmony barbaric will end up with them screaming for his blood

They tend not to reflect upon their own words and actions as much as those of their western cultural and religious counterparts. They project percieved blame and responsibility for much of their societal problems upon the west and become ultra-sensitive to criticism from them.
This hardly presents a complete picture and shouldn't be taken as such, but it's an attempt at an explanation.
