GT4 + Mouse

Post by Dr.Gibbs »

Hmm, I plugged my Logitech mouse into my PS2 and found out I can move GT4's cursor around... but when I click on items, it just selects them, and I still have to press X on the controller.

Why would they include some mouse support but not go all the way?

BTW, I think it's cool that the photo mode can write photos to USB storage devices... now all they need to do is let you save replays as MPEG's or something.

Maybe the code used to move the cursor works with a mouse but wasn't intended?

Hmm. I thought about the fact that it might have support for the PS2 mouse, but in GT3, it's like my Logitech isn't even there. GT4 knows I'm clicking but doesn't treat it as selecting an option.

Perhaps it'd be possible to remap the mouse buttons to suite the appropriate action you desire but otherwise I'd say it's probably not meant to be used with a mouse. Don't see why one would WANT to play a racing game with a mouse to begin with though :)

Racing would suck with it but menus would be a lot easier :p

NFSU2 rocks. I thought it would suck but I loved it once I tried it.

I can't put down GT4 now, though :)
