I have a hard drive that I suspect is bad because it wont boot all of suden.
I have it as a slave on another computer and when I boot that computer I get
Primary slave hard disk error.
Know what this means?

It doesnt show the slave in My computer or in disk management. But it does show in the bios and on this second computer it shows that it fouind new hardware..a maxtor but then it doesnt show up anyplace.

On the second computer it probably doesn't shop up in My Computer because it doesn't think the drive is partitioned. You might find it in the disk management panel.
However even if you do, the diagnosis still looks like a failed disc. You could piss about for a while and perhaps be lucky enough to access your data again, assuming you need to get some data off it this might be a worthwhile time investment to you. But apart from that, it looks like the drive needs throwing in the bin or the warranty calling in.
