Problem installing XP64

Post by bitWISE »

While I'm thinking about it, I tried installing a copy of XP64 on my second partition but I can't get it to boot. It went all the way through the setup just fine. When I boot to it normally it shows the X64 Edition screen for a couple seconds and then reboots. When I boot in safe mode it loads up to acpitabl and then hangs and reboots.

I added /bootlog /sos to my boot.ini but apparently it doesn't even start logging before I reboot.

Running a Venice 3500+ with 74gb raptors in raid0 on an msi k8n platinum (nforce4 sli).

I obviously gave it the sata drivers but I was thinking about slipstreaming the nforce.

i would bet that the sata drivers are the issue.

Add the Nforce drivers in, and try it again.
