Media Player Movies all seem dark?

I updated my direct X the other night and since then, my movies in Media Player have taken a sort of... Dark... Look about them. If i whack up the brightness, it doesn't exactly help matters, it seems to just make them worse, and contrast helps nothing either.

Any ideas?

Exactly which DirectX did you update to?

Edit: I assume you're running XP SP2.

No worries dude, I re-installed my video card drivers on the offchance and it appears to have fixed the issue. Whatever it was, its gone now
