auto parts...does the vin number help?

so i need a new serpentine belt for my suburban...only problem is those fagots on the phone said they need to know how many amps my alt puts out in order to give me the correct belt. the alt is not marked where i can see it. so if i give those autopart store fagots a vin number will they know what belt i need? whats the story? sick of being put on hold with those fagots...

its a nice FR layout, with little to no baffling or wiring in the way... the only thing that would cause to much of an issue is loosening the tentioner's..

So i woul dsay more like ~15-20min
