Car show rant

Post by andyman »

Ok so i'm up late last night scrubbing my floor mats to get every speck of dirt out of them, I get up this morning at 4am to wash the car, finish at 6, take a shower and then leave to meet up with some other people at 7:30, then we go to the car show with the rest of the car club.
After we get there, I spend the next hour or so cleaning off every last trace of dirt on the paint and in the engine bay, as well as the interior.

Everyone got a freebee award, but what really pisses me off is that another 05 that we rolled with which is COMPLETELY STOCK save for these dumb gt300 stripes on the side (make no sense to me), and has a dirty engine bay and DEFINITLY not as clean/shiny as mine gets a fucking top 5 award. I was like WTF... rigged.

on top of that, i forgot my camera so no pictures. i know what i have to do to it to win car shows for sure, but i would rather spend that money on go fast goodees.

oh well..

i was thinking the same thing. I had lowering springs for it, but the company sent me the wrong ones. I am waiting for the set i want to go cheap on ebay, and I think i found one, if the part numbers do indeed match up. The stock height looks high as fuck imo

a supercharger.... i will wait until i have about 10G to blow on it, since I want to rebuild the internals before i put any boost on there. This way 500+hp can be attainable right away. The stock rods are powder metal and weak as hell. paypal anyone?

number one reason,

it's all black. boring. you need to get some colour in there somehow.

all black never wins.

I think the red seats are very nice, very Alfa Romeo.
Thick, solid and tight in all the right places.

i can understand why you're upset, but really how do you expect to win anything with only 3 hours of elbow put into it. not much of a car show, really.
