Les Deux Alpes in the summer, i did that once. Think bad, horrible snow and a tiny area.

I don't reccomend it, not worth the money or effort imo.

no, I went to Superdevoluy, kinda smallish with its 150 km slopes, but its perfect for me, since it was the second time I went
the slopes are perfect though, really wide, almost no small paths you have to follow where basically cannot make turns or whatever.
And very very cheap, set me back €160 for a long weekend (mini ski), including bus, snowboard/snowboardboot rent, insurance and the pass for the elevators :)
Apres-ski sucks there though, but we really dont mind, I can get drunk here too :D

I can see where thats coming from

the snow was horrible now too. Imagine rain, hail and sun, the it freezes again. It really didnt deserve the name snow anymore, it was more like frozen liquid kitty litter but we didnt care, all we knew was we could surf it :D

Yeah, you can always surf it i guess, bad snow just downs the fun level considerably.

Conditions were so terrible we only spent two days there... Third day we decided it wasn't worth it, so we drove down the mountain and found a nice little lake in a valley for swimming & relaxing purposes. Which was good.

somehow it wasnt all that bad. It was sticky so it slowed us down a bit on the flat parts, but on the slopes it was like surfing water, somehow it added to the fun :D

but Les Deux Alpes in the summer...is there even snow, or are you basically really riding ice?

It was basically ice, yeah. They did still prepare the slopes with machines and snow cannons, but it wasn't doing much...

Thank fuck we had one of those edge-sharpener thingies with us :icon14:

No idea.
I'd been there once before though, so i know most of the slopes were closed. I'd say maybe one third was open... but thats pretty much a wild guess.

But hey maybe you could just check it out a bit, and move on if it's too shitty. Who knows, perhaps you'll get lucky :)
