that whole series was shite and the concept isn't amazing either - surely there's some other corpse he could be rogering.

Yes, but your country is home to "Bollywood" or whatever the fuck it's called, so you're excused.
Silly foreigner.

He still makes good movies, you bunch of pessimists. Kill Bill 2 was like filmified literature, damn impressive. Yes, the story of Firday the 13th is lame beyond belief, but i have enough faith in the man to expect he'll turn it into something at least half decent.

kill bill 2 was a lot better than 1, yes
hes a good filmmaker but he should have someone beside him to confine his creativity (liek roger avery)

reservoir dogs and pulp fiction where the bomb

I hacked into his computer and got the film plan:
1. Replace theme tune with 70s funk song.
2. Have Jason do kung fu.
3. Insert 3000000000000 references to every other horror film in existance including this one.
4. Release.

You forgot 3a. Add approximately 4.8 million liters of blood spurting from severed limbs.

I like QT movies, but I'm not gonna argue.

QT is the man. period.

kill bill one was awesome. there are so many incredibly stilized scenes in it - benchmarking.
the o-ren introduction scene is nothing but stunning.
kill bill two was great as well with it's italo western style. though i liked the less narrative, the first volume better.

if qt really is doing a remake of this film my guess is that it will be incredible. the teeny stab and slay really had no real improvement ever since scream 1 came with its combination of a self reflecting view onto the genre and the light, entertaining mainstream splatter - which was later on perfected by final destination and especially final destination 2 - though part 2 has not got such a good character development it's death scenes are way better and a lot more entertaining. just remember where one of the boys is splashed by the large glass plate :icon19:

I'll admit that I actually enjoyed Kill Bill I, still need to watch the second.
The big problem I have with Tarantino is that he seems rather impressed with himself, and none of his movies strike me as THAT impressive.

you should definitely check out the second kill bill, as well as being decent in it's own right it makes the first one good.

tarantino's a magpie, and a bloody good one at that. he has a real knack for stealing the best elements of a bunch of different things and putting them together to produce his movies.

hopefully with friday the 13th, all he's taken is the title (and the machete, machetes are cool).

I watched a few minutes of Kill Bill 2 a month or so ago, that convinced me I didn't need to watch the whole of the first or the second.

Nightshade's right IMO, he seems impressed with himself, far too much to justify.

Pretty boring. I don't see why people like Quentin or his work.

Linux nerds love Kill Bill, though. It's true.
