Quick question about the iPod
My friend keeps telling me that you couldn't do sports with an iPod because it has a HD and would therefore skip.
Is that even remotely true?

What sport are you wanting to use it for? Seems like plenty of people use them for jogging with no problem.
Apparently the forum resident fountain of tears Nightshade resigned from his prestigious role as rants and raves moderator because he wouldn't have time to moderate or post anymore due to devoting himself to his 'old man at university' studies.
As much as he tried, yet again he wasn't able to stay away. Sorry that didn't work out for you Nightshade. :olo:

My gf has always taken hers running with her, and about 2-3 months ago it started to skip badly, and now it locks up sometimes when it's playing.
Of course, she does more running than most ppl - training for a marathon at one point.
But if you do a lot of running I'd recommend getting a 512 Shuffle for 60 bucks and just keep your running tunes on that, just to prevent long term damage.

I still have mine, and I doubt that anyone will want to buy it now that the 1Gb Nano is out, so that's most likely what I'll do with it. I got the armband so I could wear my new iPod while lifting.R00k wrote: But if you do a lot of running I'd recommend getting a 512 Shuffle for 60 bucks and just keep your running tunes on that, just to prevent long term damage.
Hey, I just noticed how easy it is to type 'iPos' instead of 'iPod'. Coincidence?
