excellent article. he really knows his stuff. it makes me realise how a british government that wasn't just a US government lackey could stop the empire-building in its tracks by forcing a switch to euros at the london oil bourse

At this point the politicians have let the dollar become so weakened, it would only take cooperation from a few key countries anyway.
The only things really holding it up are confidence (foreign investment), and the petrodollar system.
