Nintendo DS Lite: Pure Sex

Post by Mr.Magnetichead »

*Weight: 218g (21% lighter than the DS).

*Dimensions: 133mm × 73.9mm × 21.5mm (vs 148.7 × 84.7 × 28.9 mm - 42% less volume).

*D-pad reduced to 18.6mm across (16% smaller), A/B/X/Y buttons retain same dimensions.

*Stylus diameter increased by 1mm, length increased by 1cm.

*Four levels of brightness, brighter than the original DS.

*Battery life: 15-19 hours on the lowest brightness setting, 5-8 hours on the highest.

*Retains the Game Boy Advance game connector ("Slot 2"), otherwise known as the Expansion Port.

*Mimics some Nintendo Revolution design features: D-Pad with lines (also shared by the Game Boy micro, and Century Gothic font face on buttons.)

It's no GB Advance SP.

Actually, technically, it is. Unless you mean design wise.

Almost makes me regret buying a DS a week ago. Oh well. I figured I couldn't be bothered to wait for months before being able to play DS games.

Only problem with it is that old GBA games stick out a bit :(

But fuck, for the redesign, ill buy it as soon as i can. So nice, and a bigger stylus too :p

Besides, anybody who hasn't got a GBA SP for GBA games still is a nutter. The SP rocks still, and it plays old GB games. Must have item.

I'll still eventually buy an SP, but a friend succeeded in getting me to buy a DS first. Yay for Mario Kart DS :)

Now if I could just find my old Game Boy cartridges. The SP is still around $80 around here.
