Again, this politician catering policy around pleasing a conservative religoius freaky base of constituents. What happened to separation of faith and state?

I think they're reaching with what he meant. I think he meant exactly what it first sounds like and not what they are talking about with the mice. Sometimes people tend to infer too much into something without first finding out if that is the case. The 'chimera' they speak of is hardly the accepted meaning and I really doubt the inferred kind would be possible any time soon.
