The sting operation bit is A-OK....NBC/MSNBC making a fetish of it is not. Watching 'journalists' express righteous indignation during those moments when they are SERVIN' DA COMMUNITY IN A HIGHLY SENSATIONAL FORMAT just reminds me how much these mofo's have been asleep at the wheel for oh, say, the last 20 years. Can we do some good even while playing the ratings game? Sure. Y'know, I couldn't even tell you what news company that article was from. Don't care. I didn't even look at the headline. I just read the article got the jist of what they were doing and closed it. Thier sensationalism doesn't work on everyone. For the record though, I think this is one thing that should be reported less and done more. They may have alerted some offenders that they might have caught otherwise.

I mean if you hade some fucked up internal struggle like that going on, and not able to talk to anyone about it, and then gradually giving into it and fucking up other people's lives in the process.
I dunno, that would seem messed up already to me. Getting chucked in jail, everyone knowing, and probably getting shivved by some inmates is prolly just icing.

I just feel it's kind of dumb that the media asks point blank questions at probably the worst time to ask such questions. You're not going to get any good answers to 'why', just media sensation. Like watching a guy get his arm ripped off in a racing accident and then going up to him and asking, "why do you race?"
I think it would be more interesting and less sensational if they did an interview with a "cured" pedo/predator whatever who has been treated, medicated, thought about it long enough to fully comprehend why they have done and realized the monster they were. If that is even possible. I remember hearing that a pedo now is a pedo forever. Is that really true?
