World at War - Anybody playing this?

It's a WW2 simulator basically. Like a mixture between Risk and Civilization in a WW2 setting. You take control of either Germany, Japan, Russia, China or the Western allies. (Although I have no idea why you would want to play China - all they get to do is bend over and get raped by Japan)

I've only played Germany, on the easiest setting and Christ! I'm doing worse than Hitler!

Before I started playing this I heard stories about people conquering Russia and even taking the war to North America. But while Japan is doing it's thing pretty well, I lost Berlin in 1944!

Edit:
TBQH though, I don't think I've understood the game's mechanics completely yet, it's fairly complicated.

Edit2:
It has a "Play by email" multiplayer function. Not sure how this works, but I imagine 2 people playing Japan and Germany should have lots of fun (At least if they don't suck at it like I do)
