New phone time - need some advice please

Post by DiscoDave »

My current contract is about to expire and therefore im getting a new plan and phone. I've picked out a student offer - £30 a month, 1000texts and 200mins a month inclucive. Don't sound too bad..

I need to decide which phone to get, i've picked out a few that seem pretty decent:

Samsung D600e
Orange SPV C600
Motorola V3i
Sony Ericsson K750i

Up to now i've owned a SPV C500 which i've been happy with apart from the odd crash here and there (well its windows mobile, what do you expect?)

Cheers

Well i've gone for the Orange SPV C600 seeing as i was pleased with the 600. Didn't like the look of the other phones etc.

I've let my c500 down until it was warning me etc, but the battery life is pretty good anyway.

Once again, I will recommend Sony phones, especially the k750i. As far as american phones go it's probably the best. Euros and Japs may have better available though.

The only problem I've had with my k700i is that it likes to play jokes on me. It will randomly display "Joe White" in my call log and then store a different number. One time I thought I was calling my friend Joe and I ended up calling Jeff...took me 15 minutes to realize who I was talking to.

Are you looking for more of a PDA phone or what? I found the Sony interface to be very natural feeling. Anything you expected to be able to do from a certain screen you are able to do.

Tis a good phone I had a choice between that and the blackberry 7100g. I used the Treo for a while, but for some reason I still preferr the Blackberry.

If you're looking for the best battery life and the catchiest stock ringtone, try a Nokia :icon26:

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.
