always use cdex myself - but someone's just asked me to recommend a freeware mp-ripping app for windows and the cdex project looks a bit up in the air.
bearing in mind that this is for someone who's not too hot on computers, anyone suggest a good, easy to use freeware mp3-ripper?
they're heterosexual and use a regular mp3 player, so no itunes or wacky format bollocks pls.
I think AltoMP3 player is free and rips mp3s. You CAN buy it... but I'm about 90% sure it allows you to either rip a whole CD, or something stupid like 3 songs per iteration of the program.. so just close it and open it again for the next 3.
Itunes rips to m4a (I believe, acc encorder) but you can change that to an mp3 encoder.. lol, just go to perferences, advance import and change import using and it'll rip to mp3 format
