He's just doing that because two people in Ottawa got there brains blow out in China town a couple days ago.
He wants to make himself look like the good guy.
All politicians ever wanna do is make themselves look like the good guy, especially during a fuckin Xmas election. But the cops out here in Vancouver are apparently starting to notice a trend of increased handgun usage or whatever. Personally I don't even think civilians should be allowed to own guns. All they ever do is cause trouble and I'm sure the people that use them "properly" at shooting ranges and for hunting can fuckin live without it or move to a country where it's allowed.
We just got a notice at work to watch out for people who buy products to make Meth in large quantities.
If we suspect someone we proceed with the sale then notify the RCMP.

We're allowed to own them in this country. I live in Vancouver too and have seen the same stories but the fact is that those guns were fired by local gangs fighting over drug territory. You can bet your ass not one of those guns was legally purchased, registered, or licensed. This type of legislation is useless since it does nothing to get guns out of real criminals hands. This is simply more political grandstanding and a waste of our tax dollars. Think of how many officers could be added to the organized crimes departments for the cost of this inane project.
