Just bought a Canon S2 last week, and the installer software for OS X was not available....

plug it in via usb, iPhoto launches, et voila, no need to download anything

A friend of mine just got a new iMac and did away with his PC laptop. He was thoroughly impressed with the plug and play features of the iMac. He just plugged in all his peripherals and they were instantly recognized and functional.
