Time for a new host

Post by bitWISE »

I need something that has:
php and asp.net
mysql and/or ms sql, preferably more than one db
decent space and bandwidth
nice control panel

Any advice? I'm tired of the limited sandbox that 1and1 provides.

May I direct to http://www.webhostingtalk.com ?

I never sign up for a host until I've seen positive reviews from there.

Yeah that's an excellent forum. And you don't have to look far to see people knocking on godaddy. :D

the only thing wrong with them is you don't have toll-free support. that could be problem with n00bs. that thread doesn't say much other than "i don't like them".

pcworld gave it 3/5. would have been more if it weren't for the lack of a toll-free number.

Thanks guys. I'll check out that forum when I get home but I think I'm going to go with that one I stumbled across. They have excellent scripting support and seem to have their shit together. Godaddy's website made me feel very uneasy about their service.
