If you haven't seen this, it is definitely worth picking up. The main character, Ryunosuke, is essentially the biggest badass in Japan and by the end of the movie nothing less than a small army dies by his sword. The plot is decent and considering the movie was written in 1966 I suppose it was original at the time. Aside from the death scenes given by the random desposable samurai, the acting is very good. Best of all, the subtitles are nearly flawless.
Ryunosuke is supposed to be the bad guy but his character is so fucking hardcore I couldn't help rooting for him.
