Has anyone here played it yet? Is it really as good as they say? Having played RE1, 2, 3, and CV (RE1 and CV being my favorites), I will definitely pick this one up regardless, especially when it's getting such rav reviews everywhere :icon30:
RE4 for PS2
RE4 for PS2
WTH?! 1Up gave it a 10 (they gave the GC version only a 9.5)
I wonder what kinda weed they were smoking...

I love the way sony had to flash a LOT fo money capcoms way to get this and extra content.
Well i say like, Im really quite pissed... But hey, shit happens. Right Duhard?
Okay I'm gonna seriously try to not laugh too hard so I can get my message across..o'dium wrote:Your so full of shit its coming out of your ears.

So you think I actually give a dang about what stoopid deal it took to get Resident Evil 4 to ps2?
I really don't give a shit olive oil, cause I have a GameCube collecting dust somewhere in my closet and I was waiting for RE4 to be released on a decent console so could play it with a real controller instead of that fisher price garbage GayCube controller.
And after I play some RE4 with my amazing ps2 I'll watch a dvd on my ps2 and then maybe, who knows, I'll prolly play some Final Fantasy before Final Fantasy XII hits shelves
Where's you Square deal, egghead?
That's funny because I was talking to Tony Pereira at Capcom about the port and he didn't say anything about being flashed lots of money at all.o'dium wrote:Your so full of shit its coming out of your ears.Duhard wrote:Maybe they just like the ps2 controller because it's the very best controller ever made?

That's just Resident Evil's way of doing things. And to be honest, rotational control like RE is a requirement for when the camera can shift angle instantly.R00k wrote:I picked up RE and REZero for the Cube because I'd heard so much about it, and I can't get used to the way 'up' always moves the character forward even when the camera is facing the other direction. It really fucks the game up for me.
If it would use directional control, then you'd press right and the character would move right. If the camera would then jump to the opposite side of the character, your character would turn around and walk in the other direction. Effectivly, left and right would suddenly be turned around.
With rotational controls, this problem does not exist. Left is always left from the character's point of view, no matter from what angle you're looking at it.
Yea, I understand the reasons they could have for doing that, but I'm just not very good with those kind of controls, and it makes the game hard to play for me. I haven't been any any large battles or anything (just a big crab looking creature on the train), but I can't imagine how tricky they would be with that kind of controls.

lol, yea. I remember thinking 3 was incredibly shitty. But 1 was the fucking shit when it came out.bitWISE wrote:tbh it has been AGES since I played 3. I must have been like 13. I came into the series at 2 and didnt play 1 for a while. The 1 they remade for gamecube is tight but I didnt like the original 1 so much.Deathshroud wrote:lol, yea. The additional resistance provided by the analog stick of the Gamecube is better for aiming, whereas the PS2 controller feels too loose. You'll see this when you get it, esp. if you've played it on the Gamecube.Duhard wrote:Maybe they just like the ps2 controller because it's the very best controller ever made?

No, the "very best" were on NINTENDO systems..o'dium wrote:Holy christ, the best games FF had were on the PSone. Dont give me that PS2 shit because they were AWFUL.
And as for GTA, fucking hell you would have to be a complete MORON to play it on a PS2.
"oh look a building!" "where?" "wait a sec, its loading!"
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
