I wonder if it's worth getting? I ussually get a cold during the winter at least once, but I know family friends who got sick after a flu shot and also you never know what they put in there.

My guess would be the flu virus though.

Well it's supposed to be a dead virant of a flu virus or something like that. But you can never trust them, since there was a scandal a few years back where people who worked for the hospital/doctors were forced to get a shot. However many protested, I wonder why they would do that if it was safe. They probally know something we don't?

The vaccines are based on predictions of what strains will be predominant for that season.

Never had a flu shot and only one attempt at an immunization when I was 10.

Flu shots are for babies and geriatrics. Healthy, young adults don't need them.

Same here, had to get one every year I was in the Corps. I'd get the shot and feel like hammered shit for a week. Haven't had one since, haven't gotten the flu once.

I've got a 9 month old daughter, so I'll be getting a shot to protect her from getting it from me.
