Batman Begins on DVD
Now I don't know much about dvds and what not but I was considering purchasing this film. Just a few questions:
(1) Do you think there is going to be a special edition coming out soon? If so, when?
(2) is it better to just wait til it gets out on blu-ray/hd-dvd. when is that suppose to happen?

Waiting for the new storage mediums? No. They should be widely available to consumers in (early maybe) 2006. But you wanna drop $500-1000 on a new player?
All the rage these days is about making special editions to sqeeze the extra 10$ out of your pocket. This movie will probably have one too. If that's what you like, then go for it.

they're not selling them. hd-dvd got pushed back until next year. so much for their "leg up" advantage they would have had over Blu-Ray.Chupacabra wrote:by the holiday season--that soon? thats insane.
i didnt know they were already selling hd-dvd players. or is that why you say "fabled"?
sorry for all the questions.
No, the year one hardcover is a combo save 3 dollars deal if you get the batman begins dvd too... i'll probably remove it before i buy all that crap because it pushes back the shipping date by "1 to 4 weeks"riddla wrote:Got The Killing Joke? This is probably what the 2nd movie will reference alot. Great one.

FYI, this was supposed to be one of the first HD-DVD titles that was going to be playing in fabled HD players this year.
Blu-Ray will eventually win this one. mark my words.
