A great site , one of the best, for me at least.

I love that tool but just a little warning…
The complete installation is 1,454mb. The Microsoft Office is 126mb.
If you have a limit on your ISP it might cost you to download it all at once.
I am pretty sure you can download it in two or three times and save this way on your broadband.

There must be another way that google earth plus is working because for the approximatly the same features we need only a 19.84MB, Microsoft Office SR-1 wich is a voluminous progamme is 128MB. Nasa World wind 1,454MB.
May be they don't work the same way.
I am far from a neird at IT.
Someone else can explain this?

Google earth downloads the images from the web only when you look at it.

Thanks for your explanation but does this mean that everytime we use it there is a drastic load of download MB thus it compares to Nasa World Wind in a way?

I think there is a version of World Wind which streams just like Google Earth.

But when you use Google earth, you will never look at the whole surface of the earth in full detail, so you'll never download as much as the full world wind download.
