you mean 'scaled'
Hey odnt ask me. Something there lets the dds texture look better than a standard tga, i dunno how it does it, but its obvious when you compare two screenshots side by side. There isn't as much weirdness on the texture. Maybe dds are at 32bit and tga are at 24bit?seremtan wrote:eh? a DDS format material includes prescaled versions of the texture within the material itself, presumably to take some load off the gfx processor. call of duty used DDS textures throughout. i don't see what's so 'ultra' about ito'dium wrote:No, ultra mode runs the game uncompressed using DDS textures. not sure what you mean by 'uncompressed'. in q3, textures are compressed 50%; in call of duty and hl2 they are compressed to 25% of thier original size (usually 512*2128*2)
That anti-aliased? The hands don't look anti aliased at all..o'dium wrote:You got a GT? Welcome to running it on Ultra with ease!
Isn't 32-bit same as 24-bit, only with an alpha channel?o'dium wrote:Maybe dds are at 32bit and tga are at 24bit?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you CAN'T capture AA effects in a SS?Dek wrote:
