well, the Cell is supposedly capable of running quite the AI, because devs can dedicate one proc entirely to AI.
if devs will acutally use this function is the issue though. theyd rather add online play to it so they dont HAVE to have a killer AI

I think I've read somewhere that the cell is gonna split up different workloads on different 'parts' of the chip, like certain components would be specifically tailored for ai, physics, and such

When it comes down to it, where do you think the most potential for advances in gameplay will come from?

The AI looked fine to me. There were enemies sneaking around and at one part the player is fighting a bunch of troopers when a giant "something" storms onto screen causing complete havok to be unleashed.
