Funny
"Be sure to always punish for team kills if you play on the American side, as our country is known far and wide for its citizens blaming others for their own unbridled idiocy."

Pilot Transport Helicopters Without Any Passengers! - As everybody knows, flying is a dangerous job, one which only the most trained sniper can accomplish! Do not risk other teammates to the perils of being shot down in a fiery explosion; get in transport choppers and leave your base without anybody on board! The weight of additional passengers will simply slow you down and make you an easier target for anti-aircraft stations and enemy jets, so do your team a favor and fly everywhere solo. After all, transport helicopters weren't created to actually transport anything. They were originally designed as very large and inefficient paperweights.
hehe there has been a few times getting stuck at a base i did this. sometimes you can get lucky. land facing the right way when you cap and switch between machineguns killing everything that comes close.

Yes.

As to the sniper thing, I see many a round end in a loss due to some fuckhead glued to his scope instead of capping flags. I prefer to take a few shots and move, people usually find you pretty quick. I attribute that to the game's inability to let me snipe from reasonable distances. I'm wondering if that will change if they ever unfuck the horrid netcode, but for now it sucks.
I always stay more concerned with flags than kills.

i wonder if they are gonna drop the points needed to gain ranks after lance corp. what is it like 11,000 for corp.?

Sniping at a distance is difficault/random for a reason. If it was easier we'd have even more than the 1/4 of every team we have right now consisting of sniping wankers crawling around getting exactly shit done for the team.

One or two snipers/team is ok (same goes for SpecOps), more than that is a fucking waste.

spec-ops lonewolf can be very effective and help the team but yeah more than a couple is a waste.

Don't Bother to Practice Flying! - Piloting helicopters and jets are one of those things that are best learned during online games with other players. Don't worry if you've never flown one before, and you lost your BF2 instruction manual, and you have no computer monitor, and instead of hands you have bulbous, sweaty claws that flail out uncontrollably at random objects surrounding you. Just hop on in and hope for the best! If you're really unsure how to fly, like you experience extreme difficulty when attempting to determine which direction is "up" and which direction is "the bathroom," request other teammates to hop in and fly with you. They'll offer tomes of useful advice and will gladly take over the controls after you've flown so badly that you've somehow ended up in a completely different game altogether.

Sniping at 500 "game" yards should be difficult, not utterly impossible as it is now.

Basic Sniper is the only one of that series of medals I don't have, and that's for a reason. I don't bother being one 99% of the time. The only purpose I see them for is clearing out enemy snipers & campers.

Sorry havent run across one yet.

Commanders get blamed for everything way to much. It’s a nice scapegoat for stupid players. I’ve played commander a ton. Sometimes nothing can be done for a shitty team. 90% of the time squads don’t follow orders or even pay attention. They just want a commander to be there to drop supplies and place UAV's wherever they want to go. If you don’t do that instantaneously they mutiny. Don’t even get me started. Most people have played BF42 and BFV, you don’t need to rely on a fucking commander to tell you that a base is being taken. No one needed it in the other games. You just need half a brain to pay attention to what is going on.

I played Mastuur city the other night and was commanding. My team was so set on flying around in a Blackhawk they wouldn’t do anything else. They could barely fly the thing let alone cap a flag. So you have half the team wasting space and the other quarter sniping and the last quarter trying to do something. They took our main..bam. I warned them 10 times..told them to take it back ten times...finally the Blackhawk crashed and they were fucked. Became quickly overwhelmed at their last base..then it was taken...Then the last 3 minutes of the map was everyone yelling at the one fucking sniper to get off the top of one of the buildings and take a flag.

You would be surprised how many idiots can't even interpret their minimap when I place a UAV above them. They should know exactly where the guy is and which way he is facing. I hate it when I waste a UAV on people like that. Watching from above as they run around in circles is agonizing.

Or how about when you lay mines and someone from your team runs over them gleefully, then punishes you for a teamkill. Thanks buddy! Still, i think it's mostly the choice of server. Some are just filled with idiots and noobs 24/7, while some will have excellent (team)players.

Btw, i tried to make an Iraqi style carbomb yesterday by putting some C4 into a hummer and driving it into a tank... alas he saw me coming and blew me up (three times in a row), but i have a feeling this little trick could potentially be hilarious, so i'm gonna keep trying.

Snipers "suck" period. They sit up on a hill all game hiding like a pussy and contribute absolutly nothing to the team.

I always find it funny when one team gets all the bases. Usually the only guy left is some sniper up on a hill and he has no clue all the bases are gone. Everyone is chat spamming him "Get a flag you fucking faggot sniper".
How completely ignorant.

Snipers fill an invaluable role if they aren't morons. A good sniper will take up position above or around an enemy control point. Then when his teammates move into take control, he watches and flags enemy troops before attempting to kill them himself (which isn't too hard if you can aim with a scope and account for a bit of latency). After a control point is taken, a wise sniper will move in after all HIS teammates have left and strategically place claymores in the most probable path of an incoming enemy soldier.

If he's even less of a moron, he'll switch kits and perform actions (such as reviving/healing/resupplying) after/during situations.

Like in ALL positions, if you want to be a 'productive' team member, you need to play like a team member. I can't tell you how many times I've watched utterly retarded players taking supporting role kits, only to act independantly of thier teammates around them.

Gawd.. how man ytimes have you lied on the ground dead calling for a medic only to watch some twit run right by you and not help. Or you have a cunt hair of life left and buddy boy medic is right next to you but does nothing to heal you (not even drop a med bag). Or you call repeatedly for ammo RIGHT IN FRONT OF A SUPPORT soldier and he just keeps on truckin'.

*added

I just wanted to ask why you feel it's the snipers fault for a team losing all their spawn points anyway? The first person to get kicked in the balls should be the commander for having his head up his ass and not paying attention. Next up for a good ball crushing is the squad leaders. Stab those morons who simply attack head on without any regard for defense. It's like nobody has ever heard of defending a flag, after capturing it EVERYBODY leaves the area. Some punk sniper walks in the back and snags %80 of the bases without anybody noticing. Laff. Happens all the time.
too bad 95% of bf2 players are too retarded to even begin to think to use their radar to track down enemy positions

I love it when you're standing there very obviously loading up a Hummer with C4 and someone jumps in and drives away in it. :dork:

I reccomend using only severly shot up vehicles to turn into car bombs, since noone will want to use them anyway. Be careful not to hit a tree getting to your intended target though :D

If someone steels my carbomb i'm blowing their asses up

I've seen people doing that already, sorry to steal your thunder. :p

It seems quite effective though. It's awesome when you drive it into a squad of enemies. :icon19:

lol, they replaced icon 19. :olo:

Nice, that confirms my belief that the G36C is the best sniper weapon in the game and that the AT kit submachineguns are utterly and completely fucking useless. No wonder it's so hard to kill anyone when they make less damage than a pistol have a deviation twice that of a AK-47 or AK-101.

I'll be using my pistol exclusively from now on when I play AT, until I can unlock the DAO-12

Hmm, indeed.

EDIT: although curiously enough i find i'm much more accurate with the AK-101 than with the M16A2...
