Depends on what you do most.

I chose the M95 (Sniper kit). I dont' regret it.

A popular choice is the Assualt kit G3 machine gun. However, I've found so many people have unlocked it that I can get it anytime just by picking it up off the ground.

All the new weapons are superior, after mastering them all on ranked servers, I played the alternates on unranked. They all have trade ups and trade offs.

The heavy machine gun (support kit) is awesome. Shoots a little slower, but doesn't lift AT ALL, and has major dropping power.

The DAO12 is pretty badass for close up action. It's best used by running around a corner when you see infantry and then ambushing him when he comes after you.

That's what I picked (Anti-Tank unlock). I tried out all of them, except I don't think I used the support one. I found the Medic unlock I did worse with. Most of the other ones are worth it, just depends on which kits you use the most. I don't snipe, so I wouldn't do that one either.

There's no need for more snipers or spec ops, any other weapon for any other kit is a better choice.

I picked the L85A1, and although I really do like it, it would have been better to choose the AT kit unlock, because that submachinegun is completely and utterly useless. I'll probably get the DAO12 when I make Corporal.

G3 machine gun? The G3 is an automatic rifle. And it's bloody awsome (IRL at least, haven't got BF2).

In the beta testing of Joint Operations: Escalation, I tested their G3 and G36...

Talk about overpowered. I was getting 500M headshots on the first click with that thing. Trust me, that doesn't sound impressive but I got like 10FPS in that lame game.

I chose the medic weapon for my first unlock and man is it totally useless.

Well, mostly useless maybe, since the sound it makes is such a light little 'pop' sound that it usually gets drowned by all the other noise. Which is good when you don't want people to know where you're shooting from i guess.

I think I'm going to go with the Jackhammer or the sniper rifle. I usually play as either an engineer or spec ops, but I'm still working on that basic sniper badge. :D

The "light 50" sniper sucks.. its a bolt action rifle... dont go for it.
Either get the G36 for spec ops wich has a awsome aim and is very reliable or get the DAO-12 shotty for the anti-tank...

Next one im unlocking will be the G3 or the pkm support.

Yeah, would you care to elaborate on "sucks"? What's bad about it? Ok, it's bolt action and most likely has a long reload time. Were you expecting to charge tanks with it?

If you want your sniper badge fast? Be a gunner in a chopper one round while being a sniper.

Snipers "suck" period. They sit up on a hill all game hiding like a pussy and contribute absolutly nothing to the team.

I always find it funny when one team gets all the bases. Usually the only guy left is some sniper up on a hill and he has no clue all the bases are gone. Everyone is chat spamming him "Get a flag you fucking faggot sniper".

lol - swapping to sniper if you end in with 2 bases as a front line is completely helpful - keeps high ground clear for squads moving in aswell as helping pick off gunners in jeeps and tanks

How completely ignorant.

Snipers fill an invaluable role if they aren't morons. A good sniper will take up position above or around an enemy control point. Then when his teammates move into take control, he watches and flags enemy troops before attempting to kill them himself (which isn't too hard if you can aim with a scope and account for a bit of latency). After a control point is taken, a wise sniper will move in after all HIS teammates have left and strategically place claymores in the most probable path of an incoming enemy soldier.

If he's even less of a moron, he'll switch kits and perform actions (such as reviving/healing/resupplying) after/during situations.

Like in ALL positions, if you want to be a 'productive' team member, you need to play like a team member. I can't tell you how many times I've watched utterly retarded players taking supporting role kits, only to act independantly of thier teammates around them.

Gawd.. how man ytimes have you lied on the ground dead calling for a medic only to watch some twit run right by you and not help. Or you have a cunt hair of life left and buddy boy medic is right next to you but does nothing to heal you (not even drop a med bag). Or you call repeatedly for ammo RIGHT IN FRONT OF A SUPPORT soldier and he just keeps on truckin'.

*added

I just wanted to ask why you feel it's the snipers fault for a team losing all their spawn points anyway? The first person to get kicked in the balls should be the commander for having his head up his ass and not paying attention. Next up for a good ball crushing is the squad leaders. Stab those morons who simply attack head on without any regard for defense. It's like nobody has ever heard of defending a flag, after capturing it EVERYBODY leaves the area. Some punk sniper walks in the back and snags %80 of the bases without anybody noticing. Laff. Happens all the time.

worst is a squad leader who plays as a lone wolf - you spawn n him every time - and he just fucks asap not even trying to coordinste you abd the rest of his squad ...

Indeed. Nothing pisses me off more than a moron squad leader that doesn't assign orders and leads all the attacks on control points (killing himself in the process, eliminating his spawn point).
