Fear The Walking Dead
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I liked it, it's a nice insight into what went down before Rick woke up in the hospital. I hope the series cross over at some point.
I've been watching an old series though called Misfits, it's pretty fucking good. some scenes are so fucking awkward though, made complete sense when I saw Tom Green was the director. lulz.

How is that relevant? Zombies don't exist.YourGrandpa wrote:And you're nearly dead. What a coincidence.

Your opinion on a completely unrelated matter is irrelevant. No, let me rephrase that: your opinion on any matter is irrelevantYourGrandpa wrote:I didn't know there was a right or wrong here. In MY opinion, if you're recording thousands of hours of TV to watch at a later time you're wasting a lot of time.
You gonna be okay?

As relevant/irrelevant as anything you'd have to say.
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
Don't forget that a lot of zombie entertainment material you have consumed is completely unknown by the majority of the people. For example, the knowledge that a headshot takes them out is not common knowledge, and actually pretty specific to The Walking Dead's type of zombies (I guess).Memphis wrote:Bored, boring, bored. Meh. Was hoping for some real breakdown of society stuff.
Zombies are fictional beings. When people get sick and start to act violently, it's actually quite unrealistic for someone to go "oh, hey, these are zombies, just like in all those pieces of fiction I've got on my bookstand".

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I'm really liking this series so far, so horses for courses I guess.
Edit: Reading comprehension failure. Saw "The Walking Dead" and mentally edited out "Fear".
Regarding Fear the Walking Dead, you have to cut them some slack for it retreading the outbreak, and I really like the character Nick, with his unrepentant quest for highs.
But yeah, the middle few episodes were pretty uneventful.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
And Carol last week continued to kick ass, so I was happy.
To be honest, I was a little disappointed they decided to get rid of Nicholas this week.
I like characters who are flawed, and that made him very interesting; a lot more so than a lot of the other Alexandrians.
What follows is a spoiler referencing some stuff from the comics, so beware; I've kept it as vague as possible:
As for Glen? Not sure he's really dead. There's all sorts of little details pointing to the character surviving, and I think they'd be better off hewing closer to the comic with Glen if they REALLY want to shock viewers.
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I doubt he's dead. The after-the-show show "Talking Dead" failed to show a post mortem video of him while they had done so for all other main characters that had died which could be seen as a hint.
Carol's awesome while Morgan is a fucking pussy. I'm loving S06 so far though.

The host also read a note from the TWD director that said Glenn would be back in one form or another. Which I think he's going to be a zombie and one of the main characters is going to kill him (that's when Glenn will get his Talking Dead memoriam). But you're not going to see that next episode, because they are going to focus on how Morgan became Morgan. It'll likely be the episode after next.
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I might be wrong but the 1st time I seen headshot = kill was Romero's (Zombie hero) Night of the Living Dead and I thought it became pretty standard practice after that. The newer Dawn of the Dead had the bat shit insane running zombies which was made even more popular by 28 Days Later too, that was done before with less impact though.Eraser wrote:Don't forget that a lot of zombie entertainment material you have consumed is completely unknown by the majority of the people. Re: Fear The Walking Dead
i thought the scene was awkward and lacked the proper pace and flow, just my opinion.
great episode tho .
i dont think hes dead the perspective was like that other idiot was on top of him and the zombies were eating him and not glen
should have jump the fence to the right tho

The spoiler timer ran out 3 days ago. Stay off of social media if you're so much of a nerd that you get more than 48 hours behind IRL because you have to watch every show.Memphis wrote:Note: how everyone else manages to avoid direct spoilers, but you are an idiot.YourGrandpa wrote:The host also read a note from the TWD director that said

Someone thinks the world stops Sunday.
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
Not at all, some people are busy on certain days and can't watch shows until they rerun or hit one of the online viewing sites. I saw the episode so it's not a problem for me, but not everyone has. Therefore, you're a dick.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
It was 5 fucking days later. If you haven't seen a show as popular as TWD within 48hrs of the original air time, it's YOUR responsibility to stay off social media and avoid spoilers.
Re: Fear The Walking Dead
This isn't exactly social media, fathead. And if you don't catch the rerun after Talking dead, you have to wait until tomorrow night. Your stupid 'spoiler timer' should go at least until tomorrow. And yes, if I've missed it and am on Facebook or whatever other actual social media I will avoid reading about it. You're still a dick.YourGrandpa wrote:It was 5 fucking days later. Re: Fear The Walking Dead
So you're not upset that I'm speculating about Glenn's death. You actually crying about me mentioning things discussed on the Talking Dead 5 days later?
Fuck you.
Fuck you.

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I'm not crying about anything. Like I said I saw the episode. And it goes right along that if they didn't see the episode or the repeat then they didn't see TD either. You just really don't understand, do you?

Re: Fear The Walking Dead
I do understand. But I don't give a shit. If you're that much of a fan that it truly bothers you to see/hear spoilers and you haven't got caught up with what is going on 5 days after it happens, everything you see/hear/read is on you. No one can be expected to protect you from a ruined experience 5 days later. Fuck you, you selfish prick. Stay out the fucking thread and threads like it if you don't want your experience ruined. Dummy.
