It's just about not being a prick who thinks he can do just as he wants. If everyone would go "oh hey, there's plenty of parking spots" and then take up 4 spots, then the entire parking lot would be filled up with 10 cars. lol, what a pointless comparison. And if you don't want your car damaged then you shouldn't take it out of your garage. Hey, maybe he's right in pushing people off the left lane as well because, you know, if there's other people driving there they might hit his car.

Actually, your logic is flawed again. It is exactly because there are lots of empty parking spaces that chances of someone parking next to him are small. Thus the chances of someone hitting his car with a trolley are insignificantly small as well. I think that by taking up four spots he has actually increased the chance of someone parking next to him and hitting his car.

And I actually believe that parking his car like this has nothing to do with being afraid of it being damaged. I think it's about "hey look at me being a badass".

people are not gonna go out and park like morons anymore than theyre gonna wake up tomorrow and give their wages to some pauper, if they did theyd make a rule to clamp your ass anyway, but why leave it in a garage when he can go out and take up 4 bays ?, by taking up 4 bays hes guaranteed a cars not gonna be closer than a few foot, reducing the chances of getting a trolley prang and forcing cars off the road might increase the chances of being damaged
