If you're complaining about Lost not tying up loose ends and creating new ones, I wouldn't recommend watching Twin Peaks.
yea i've too been kind of thinking about maybe a new sig but sort of haven't come to quite a decision yet

The advertised the season 1 dvd box during the commercials in the Lost episode yesterday, so I'm guessing it's out now.

wanna know what the numbers mean?

click

they're gps co-ordinates of the island... the co-ordinates place to a location in the pacific ocean, north east of australia.

what else do you want to know?

hanso foundation website is owned by the creators of lost...

co-ordinates may be a theory, but explain to me why it's precisely accurate to where the flight should have crashed?

oh, and the hanso foundation site contains a hidden link to the orientation video for the dharma project, and in the ep where the orientation video was shown, it mentioned hanso.

I can't explain it, and I know the website is run by the creators of lost. If the answers were that easy to come by nobody would be watching the show.

so basically, you don't believe what the writers of the show wrote on the site because you don't want to because it seems too obvious and would rather keep the island all mysterious and spooky in your head.... each to their own

i guess you class as a man of faith and me a man of science ;)

The numbers may be coordinates but explain to me why A) they were on the hatch, B) why they need to be inputted into the computer every hour or so, and C) Why the helped Hurley win the lottery.

Probably a lot more to do with "mathematical forcasting" then anything else.

the island is a research site right, hanso foundation proves that. the numbers are the location of the island in the world, so the only question remaining is, what were they researching?

the foundation site talks about research of practically every paranormal aspect of the world, so they were researching paranormal activity. my guess is the island has some wierd ass powers due to its location in the world, the hanso foundation was researching this but they went too far, fucked something up, and created some kind of "issue" which the computer rectifies, but the issue takes constant maintenance.

the ultimate question is, why is the island so paranormal. this will answer what hanso was doing there, why the dharma project was setup and what they did which makes them have to punch numbers into a computer

i wonder what would happen if you took a globe and punched a needle through the location of the island, straight through the core of the earth and out the other side, where would it end up? the bremuda triangle?

Sure, that all sounds good but is still just a theory. So far it seems that the island is a research site but we don't know that for sure.
On the film they talk about the psychologist Skinner. You ever hear about the experiments Skinner did involving training a bunch of rats to continually push a button? Sound familiar?
Also, why are these people on the island and why are all their past lives intersecting? What about the fact that the same people keep showing up in different people's flashbacks (Locke's boss and Hurley's boss for example)?

The number entering is nothing but a damn psych experiment.
The only thing that bugs me about the show is that they spend too much time recapping shit.

One running theory is that all the people are involved in some sort of "downloaded life" experiment. Basically this means that Jack isn't really a doctor, Kate isn't really a criminal, Sawyer isn't really a conman, etc. The reason certain people keep popping up is that they are sort of "stock footage" which get's reused amongst each subject.

This isn't necessarily what I believe is going on, but it is an interesting theory.

i think that's just cheap extras,

the island is definately a research site, and why the button needs to be pushed etc, is part and tail of whatever went on there... what i didn't like about the hanso website is the extra-terrestrial bullshit... man, i don't need another x-files

PS: If you don't think it's a research site, what is it? or are you gonna go all matrix on the story line and say there is no island.

I believe they said they did "psychological experients" in the orientation video, not paranormal.

Skinner was still big in the 60's and 70's (before proper cognitive psychology took over), when this Dharma initiative supposedly started.

I bet this entire thing is a big psychological experiment performed by a powerful and unscrouplous organization.
