Aye. It's curious that they bothered to assess him for insanity. Seems like such a vague term. To me he just seems like a fucking extremely calculating, patient, cold-blooded extremist (which I realize may very well be the definition of insanity ) I recall reading somewhere that he joined a gun club more than a decade ago just to facilitate connections to obtaining illegal firearms, since Norwegian law is so strict on the matter. I know, "sources say", etc, but given the nature of his attacks, it wouldn't surprise me if he did something like this. Either way, be interesting to see how this pans out. I'm surprised someone hasn't shot him with a bow and arrow on his way from the cop car to the court room or something.

That's actually the definition of a psychopath. Psychopaths are not insane, they're simply the worst cunts in the universe.

It's not... The main characteristic of psychopathy is the lack of empathy for others, kind of like an anti social personality disorder but moreso.

Sociopaths find it incredibly difficult to maintain relationships due to their inability to comprehend empathy. They typically do not have a relationship with family, have very few friends and don't get along well with co-workers. Sociopaths often use others for their own personal gain and think nothing of humiliating a victim or a supposed friend. A psychopath, on the other hand, may be able to have normal relationships, even getting married and caring for children. Although they do not feel remorse for acts of violence and cruelty they may comment, they are able to understand human emotion and empathy so that they can manipulate it. Their incredible understanding of human feelings makes it easy for them to impress and persuade others
