The ending was in keeping with his character I thought. WIth it being from an autistic kids viewpoint I don't think some dramatic crescendo would have worked.

It was almost with emotion when he said: "I can do anything now".

Yeah definitely, and I think that was as close you really could have gotten without it being unrealistic.
